About this organization

Founded in 1987 by Morna Edmundson and Diane Loomer, Elektra is a groundbreaking adult treble-voice choir and leader in the international classical women's choir movement. Known for adventurous programming and championing Canadian composers, Elektra has commissioned over 100 works and won multiple national awards. The choir presents an annual concert series and extensive community engagement programs.
