The Victoria Philharmonic Choir, conducted by Peter Butterfield, presents crown jewels of the English choral tradition, culminating in Purcell's Dido & Aeneas — a tragic love story from Virgil's Aeneid. The 80-voice choir and soloists are accompanied by a chamber orchestra featuring period instruments, including Douglas Hensley on theorbo.
