The Service

Allegro Classical is a free, public directory of classical music concerts, organizations, music teachers and schools, and jobs in the cities it covers. Most listings are compiled by us from publicly available sources — venue websites, organization websites, and event submissions — and are shown "as compiled," with the source disclosed on each listing. Organizations can optionally upgrade a listing to Verified (see below), which lets them maintain it directly.

We don't guarantee that any listing is complete, current, or error-free. Always confirm event details — dates, times, pricing, and availability — directly with the organization or venue before making plans.

Each city also has a job board for classical music roles and a directory of music teachers, schools and programs. Allegro publishes these listings but isn't a party to any hiring decision, employment relationship, lesson arrangement or payment between the people who find each other through them.

Submitting Events and Listings

If you submit an event or organization information to us — through the submit form, the dashboard, or by contacting us directly — you're responsible for making sure that information is accurate and that you have the right to share it. We reserve the right to edit, decline, or remove any submitted listing at our discretion, including for accuracy, formatting, or content reasons.

Verified Membership (Organizations)

Verified Membership is a paid subscription available to organizations that lets you maintain your own organization profile and concert listings directly through the Allegro dashboard, and displays a Verified badge on your public listing.

A Verified badge reflects that an organization maintains its own listing directly and confirms it's current — it isn't an endorsement by Allegro of the organization, its programming, or its quality. We may suspend or revoke Verified status, without refund, for violations of these Terms, fraudulent or misleading listing content, or non-payment.

Job Postings

Anyone can post a classical music job for review. Verified and Season Partner organizations can post unlimited jobs at no charge from their dashboard. Some postings are compiled by Allegro from vacancies that employers have published on their own websites; these are labelled "Compiled by Allegro from public sources", link to the original posting, and come down when the deadline passes or the original is removed. Employers can ask us to correct or remove a compiled posting at any time, free, by emailing hello@allegroclassical.com.

You're responsible for making sure a posting is accurate, describes a real role you're authorized to recruit for, and complies with applicable employment and human rights law. We may decline, edit for formatting, or remove any posting, including ones we consider misleading or discriminatory, or that ask applicants for payment.

Allegro doesn't collect applications or CVs: applicants go directly to the link or email in the posting. Any hiring decision and employment relationship is solely between the employer and the applicant.

Teachers and Schools Directory

Individual teachers are listed only with their consent. Schools, studios, conservatories and programs may be listed from public business information and can claim their listing to manage it. By listing yourself, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you're entitled to offer the lessons described. Search results are never ordered by whether a listing is paid.

Messages sent through a teacher's contact form are forwarded to the teacher by email. Allegro doesn't screen senders or messages and isn't responsible for any arrangement, payment or conduct between teachers, schools, students and families.

Dashboard Access

Organization dashboards and teacher accounts are accessed by email via a one-time sign-in link — there's no separate password to manage. You're responsible for keeping the email address on file current and for not sharing sign-in links with anyone outside your organization. We're not liable for actions taken through your dashboard or teacher account by anyone with access to that email address or an active sign-in link.

Acceptable Use

When using Allegro, you agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent event or organization information
• Impersonate another organization or person, or claim a listing you don't represent
• Scrape, systematically copy, or republish our listings at scale without permission
• Post jobs that are misleading, discriminatory, not genuine, or that ask applicants to pay
• Use a teacher's contact form for spam, unsolicited marketing, harassment, or anything other than a genuine enquiry about lessons
• Interfere with or attempt to disrupt the site, dashboard, or underlying systems
• Use the site for any unlawful purpose

Third-Party Links and Services

Our listings link out to ticketing pages, venue and organization websites, and other third-party services, and we use third-party providers — including Stripe for payments and email providers for dashboard sign-in and notifications — to operate Allegro. We aren't responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, or practices of any third-party site or service. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Intellectual Property

The Allegro Classical name, logo, and site design belong to us. Organization names, logos, descriptions, and other content submitted or maintained through the dashboard remain the property of the submitting organization — by submitting it, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display it on Allegro Classical for as long as the listing remains active.

Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

Allegro Classical is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any listing, and we're not responsible for any event that's cancelled, rescheduled, or misrepresented by its organizer or venue, or for any job, employer, applicant, teacher, school, lesson or credential found through the site.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Allegro Classical won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, a Verified Membership or a job promotion, and our total liability for any claim relating to a paid service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Termination

We may suspend or remove any listing or job posting, or suspend or terminate dashboard or teacher account access, at any time for violations of these Terms. If we terminate a Verified Membership, or remove a promoted posting, for cause, no refund is owed.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
