Calgary Wind Symphony

The Calgary Wind Symphony is a community wind ensemble of about 60 musicians, active in Calgary since 1947 and known as the Calgary Concert Band until it took its current name in 2012. Directed by Dr. Jeremy S. Brown, it performs modern wind-ensemble repertoire alongside concert-band classics, usually at Eckhardt-Gramatté Hall in the University of Calgary's Rozsa Centre. It has commissioned and premiered new works for wind band, including Canadian premieres by Jordan Nobles and Allan Bell.
