Honens

Honens is the home of Canada's international piano competition, endowed in 1991 by Esther Honens with a $5 million gift to her hometown of Calgary. The triennial Honens International Piano Competition is considered one of the world's most prestigious events of its kind, and its Laureates join a three-year artistic development and career program. Honens also presents an annual festival and events throughout the year, from free community shows to salon concerts.
