Rosa Barocca

Rosa Barocca is an Alberta period-instrument baroque orchestra founded in 2016 by Artistic Director Claude Lapalme, who is also Music Director of the Red Deer Symphony Orchestra. Drawing musicians from across Canada, it presents historically informed performances of baroque music, often in partnership with choirs such as Early Music Voices and Luminous Voices. Its 2022 debut album with cellist Elinor Frey won the 2023 JUNO Award for Classical Album of the Year (Small Ensemble).
