The Winspear Centre's YONA-Sistema program offers free after-school music instruction to youth in Northern Alberta neighbourhoods. The teaching artist leads daily violin and viola instruction for groups of up to 20 students, rehearses them for concerts and helps with homework and snack times. The contract runs September 2026 to June 2027 and may be renewed each year. Advanced violin or viola training, teaching experience with children and a clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector search are required.
