About this organization

Early Music Alberta was founded in 2010 in Edmonton by a group of early music enthusiasts under the direction of baroque cellist and viola da gambist Josephine van Lier. It presents a concert series and an early music festival, played on period instruments with performances informed by research into original manuscripts and treatises.
