Edmonton Winds

The Edmonton Winds is a community wind ensemble of accomplished local musicians, active since 1976 and operated by the New Edmonton Wind Sinfonia Society. Its mission has long been "performing the best in wind band literature", with an emphasis on new and challenging works and local composers, and it has commissioned and premiered music including works by Julie Giroux and Pete Meechan. It marked its 50th year in 2025-26 with the release of its third studio album.
