Founded in 1985 by Marshall Pynkoski and Jeannette Lajeunesse Zingg, Opera Atelier is a world leader in the rediscovery and revitalization of period opera and ballet, particularly from the Baroque era. Performing twice yearly at Toronto's historic Elgin Theatre with Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra on period instruments, the company combines exceptional singing, baroque dance, and stunning theatrical staging into thrilling experiences that bring 17th and 18th century opera back to life.
