Opera Revue

Opera Revue is a Toronto company that performs opera and art song in bars, breweries and other casual venues, where audiences are encouraged to drink, talk and move around rather than sit in silence. Its core trio is soprano Danie Friesen, pianist Claire Elise Harris and baritone Alexander Hajek. The company presents monthly Neighbourhood Shows at rooms including the Dakota Tavern, Castro's Lounge and Reid's Distillery, plus larger cross-over productions such as Ruckus! at the Redwood and Drag Me to the Opera at The Drake Hotel. It is also known for satirical operatic parody videos and has collaborated with Opera Atelier.
