Founded in 1982, Soundstreams is one of the world's leading contemporary music companies and the largest global presenter of new Canadian music. Under Founder and Artistic Director Lawrence Cherney, Soundstreams has commissioned over 170 new works and presents innovative programming through its Main Stage series, chamber music events, operas, and music-theatre works, with a commitment to diverse Canadian identities and social justice themes.
