Toronto Classical Singers

Founded in the 1990s by Jurgen Petrenko, Toronto Classical Singers is the only choir in Canada dedicated exclusively to the great choral-orchestral repertoire. This 100-voice auditioned ensemble performs with its long-standing partner ensemble The Toronto Classical Players at Christ Church Deer Park, offering programs that combine beloved masterpieces with rarely performed works spanning 300 years of the choral tradition. Founding Conductor Jurgen Petrenko announced his retirement in February 2025 after 34 years of leadership.
