About this organization

Founded in 1894, the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir is Canada's oldest, largest, and most recognized choral ensemble, now in its 131st year under Artistic Director Jean-Sébastien Vallée. The 160+ voice choir, including a professional core of 24 singers (the Toronto Mendelssohn Singers), performs at Massey Hall, Roy Thomson Hall, and Koerner Hall, and collaborates regularly with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. JUNO-winning and Grammy-nominated, the TMC has toured the world's great concert halls and appeared on film soundtracks including Schindler's List.
