About this organization
The Chan Centre for the Performing Arts opened in 1997 and is one of Canada's premier concert halls, housing the 1,200-seat Chan Shun Concert Hall, Telus Studio Theatre, and Royal Bank Cinema on UBC's campus. Designed by Bing Thom Architects and ARTEC Consultants for exceptional acoustics, the Chan Centre is the home venue for UBC School of Music ensembles and presents a rich season of classical, world, jazz, and interdisciplinary performances for the Vancouver community.
