Surrey City Orchestra

Established in 2017, the Surrey City Orchestra is a professional orchestra based in Surrey, BC, run by the Surrey City Orchestra Society. Conductor Stuart Martin led its launch, with a 2018 showcase concert followed by an inaugural 2019/2020 season. The orchestra draws on professional musicians who live in Surrey and is known for cross-cultural collaborations, from performing with Grammy winner Ricky Kej at Surrey Fusion Festival to a Nutcracker with local dance troupes and the Surrey Children's Choir. It has no fixed home hall, performing at the Bell Performing Arts Centre and in Surrey churches.
