Vancouver Academy of Music

Founded in 1969, the Vancouver Academy of Music (VAM) is a non-profit music school at 1270 Chestnut Street in Vanier Park, minutes from downtown Vancouver. Alongside its teaching programmes it presents public performances in its own two halls and, through the VAM Symphony Orchestra, mounts the Orpheum Series — four mainstage concerts each season at the Orpheum Theatre. The VAM Symphony Orchestra is led by Music Director and Principal Conductor Ian Parker, with Leslie Dala as Conductor Emeritus.
