Behind the Organ Renewal: A presentation by Juget-Sinclair's Alex Ross

Ever wanted to learn more about the process of restoring one of North America's largest - and most significant - instruments? Now's your time! We're pleased to welcome Alex Ross back to the cathedral this weekend, Organ Builder at Montreal-based firm Juget-Sinclair. Earlier this summer Alex and his team were responsible for repairing and renewing the cathedral's organ, which included cleaning and regulating all 4000 pipes, renewing the organ's delicate system of moving trackers and rebalancing and repairing all four keyboards. The results he and his team have achieved are remarkable, and we couldn't be more delighted with how this magnificent instrument is sounding. In this informal conversation, Alex will talk us through his process and give us a fascinating insight into his trade as an organ builder. There will be plenty of time to ask questions, too!
