Program inspired by the mythological Phoenix (death, decay, and rebirth): music of Gabriel Fauré and Gustav Mahler, followed by works by women composers Cécile Chaminade and Rebecca Clarke, plus a commissioned new work by Canadian composer Rosemary Smith Mountain.
