Pacific Opera Victoria (POV)

Founded in 1979, Pacific Opera Victoria is one of Canada's most influential opera companies, presenting three full-scale mainstage productions annually at the 1,400-seat Royal Theatre alongside chamber operas and concerts at the Baumann Centre. The company has staged over 120 productions, including more than a dozen Canadian and world premieres, and builds its own sets and costumes in a 10,000 sq ft production facility. Under Artistic Director Brenna Corner (since 2023), POV continues a celebrated tradition of adventurous repertoire, community engagement, and collaboration with the Victoria Symphony.
