Program Summary
Lucas Harris sets baroque counterpoint against jazz, with Bach and Praetorius on one side and Ellington and Brubeck on the other. Vocalist and bandleader Joanna Majoko fronts a rhythm section, and Harris moves between lute and jazz guitar. The premise is that the two idioms share more machinery than they admit.
