Toronto Chamber Choir
About this organization
Founded in 1968, the Toronto Chamber Choir has held a prominent place in Canada's early music scene for over five decades, specializing in Renaissance and Baroque repertoire performed in a historically informed style. Under Artistic Director Lucas Harris (since 2014), this accomplished group of 30–40 auditioned singers presents two evening concerts and two afternoon Kaffeemusiks per season, frequently exploring rarely performed masterworks alongside Canadian composers. The choir works regularly with period instrumentalists and rehearses at Church of the Transfiguration in midtown Toronto.
