About this organization

Founded in 1941, the Victoria Symphony is Vancouver Island's largest and most celebrated performing arts organization and one of Canada's most successful regional orchestras. Under Music Director Christian Kluxen, the professional ensemble of 44 musicians presents over 50 main-series programs per season at the Royal Theatre, plus the beloved Symphony in the Summer Festival. The Victoria Symphony is renowned for the annual Symphony Splash, a free outdoor harbour concert drawing audiences of up to 30,000, and runs extensive education programs including school concerts and the tuition-free Victoria Youth Symphony.
